Will these plugins work on my system?

Meat Beats plugins are compatible with all modern Mac and Windows systems. They are provided in VST2, VST3 and AU (Mac only) formats.

Mac 64bit (Intel & Silicon) on macOS 10.14 Mojave or later.
Windows 64bit Intel on Windows 8.1, 10 and 11.

How do I install the plugins?

To install the plugin copy the plugin file AND the .instruments folder to your system plugins folder or custom plugin folder, if you have one. Then rescan your plugins. Detailed instructions here, and also in the plugin download.

Why does it say “Cannot find any instruments”?

If you see “Cannot find any instruments” check that the [plugin].instruments folder is in the same folder as the plugin file. Check the installation instructions for details.

Who is Meat Beats?

I’m Danny Taurus, a music producer, DJ and record label owner from the UK, now living in Los Angeles, California. I started making house music in the early 90s and co-founded Dansa Records with Mark Archer in 1993. Recently I started sampling old 90s synths to use in my productions. Seemed like a good idea to turn them into plugins that everyone can use.
